Ecclesiastes 8:7-9

⁷ For he is ignorant of what the future holds,
    inasmuch as no one will make known to him what is in store.
⁸ No one has it in his power
    to restrain the wind from blowing
    or to forestall the day of death.
No one can escape the perils of war,
    nor can wickedness preserve those who engage in it.
